The ‘Assignment’

Welcome to our website. Our goal is to develop awareness and interest in the diverse and multifaceted arena of marketing. Our aim is to expose business and non-business college students to some of the key tools and concepts that comprise the varied field of what is known as marketing. This website is also an excellent resource for small businesses to refresh their understanding of the many concepts, principles, tools and terminologies used among marketing practitioners in sales, advertising, retailing, promotions, product management, etc. including those entrepreneurs that have ”Gone Galt” in refercnce to John Galt of Atlas Schrugged (Part 3 to be released Sept 2014) .

“The Assignment” The website was hatched by our college professor for the promotions class MAR4333 at the University of South Florida Sarasota. He was inspired by our College of Business advisory board of local business owners who requested more emphasis on digital marketing and the use of social media. Employers also requested more digital savvy marketing graduates. Ergo – our professor has assigned the requirement that we individually develop our own WordPress websites with an emphasis on “content”. We hope to inspire and entertain while teaching the key concepts and principles we have learned about marketing. You can also view the ‘about us’ page on each site. Presented without academic gobbledygook, and explained by fellow students, we hope to entertain as well as inform. Sit back and enjoy our short stories of successful and profitable applications, testimonials and graphic illustrations of the tools of the marketing trade and profession.

If you want a dry academic introduction to the theory and concepts behind marketing you can link to our professor’s blog – otherwise you can go directly to the marketing ‘categories’ highlighted on the right of your screen. We will try to explain it in our own words. Enjoy the show!

Sorry for the wait. It takes about 5 to 10 hours for a senior in business school to get up and running. Good to check out the YouTube instruction too. Prof. Noel
